Overview

In this role you lead the development of new products from planning to launch within the New Product Development Team. You coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure schedules, quality, and cost targets are met, enabling a seamless release to customers. You manage risks, communicate with stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement. The position combines leadership of ambitious, high-tech projects with collaboration across engineering, marketing, sales, service, and operations to deliver impactful innovations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project deliverables across stage-gate development
  • Track and report progress, costs, risks, and issues at business level with engineering teams
  • Build and maintain a collaborative cross-functional project team
  • Ensure project schedule, features, quality, and costs meet business requirements
  • Coordinate with Marketing, Sales, Service and Operations for a seamless release and transition to routine shipping
  • Advise on process continuous improvement opportunities
  • Occasional travel to Ulm site

Key requirements

  • Proven track record delivering product development projects in a high-tech environment
  • Experience with releasing products containing new software and hardware technology
  • Familiar with project management tools (Microsoft Project, issue tracking systems) and status reporting
  • Experience leading agile projects (Scrum, Kanban or similar)
  • Azure DevOps experience is advantageous
  • Physics or Science Degree and formal PM training
