Health & Safety Lead

Overview

You will lead on-site health & safety in a busy, fast-paced production setting, working hands-on on the floor. The role is ideal for someone stepping up from advisor level to own safety outcomes with a clear progression into management. You will be visible, engaged, and trusted to drive standards in live manufacturing. This is not a desk role but a chance to shape safety culture and improvements on site.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site safety audits and risk assessments
• Drive safety standards and compliance on the production floor
• Maintain high visibility and engage with staff at all levels
• Support continuous safety improvements in a live manufacturing environment
• Progress toward leadership responsibilities with guidance from the operation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed safety throughout processes

Key requirements

• Experience in a food manufacturing, FMCG, or similar fast-paced production environment
• Strong site presence with personable, approachable communication
• Hands-on approach to audits, risk assessments, and standards enforcement
• Ambition to progress into a leadership role
• NEBOSH General (minimum)
