Overview

In this Broking Director role, you will shape and lead a growing insurance business by developing a modern, tech-enabled broking proposition. You will own the placement of large, complex commercial programmes while building a high-performing team and expanding strategic insurer partnerships. Working with senior leadership, you’ll identify opportunities to scale the business and deliver sophisticated solutions to mid-market and corporate clients. Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the long-term broking strategy and build a high-performing team
  • Lead placement of large, complex commercial insurance programmes and negotiate structure, pricing and capacity
  • Strengthen relationships with insurers, reinsurers and Lloyd’s syndicates; develop innovative placement strategies
  • Lead client relationships with sophisticated commercial and corporate clients with tailored programmes
  • Drive business growth by expanding insurer partnerships and tech-enabled insurance solutions; govern performance and compliance

Key requirements

  • Experience leading placement of complex commercial or corporate insurance programmes
  • Strong relationships across the London Market and Lloyd’s
  • Proven ability to develop insurer partnerships and negotiate sophisticated programme structures
  • Track record in winning and retaining large commercial/corporate clients
  • Experience building or leading successful broking teams
  • Ability to operate at executive level with influence among clients, insurers and senior stakeholders
  • Familiarity with growing UK/global businesses
