Overview

In this role you will optimise production capability at a major site producing foam and gas suppression systems. You will work hands-on with production, engineering and supply chain teams to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence. You’ll focus on improving efficiency, reducing cost and enhancing quality across operations, using data-driven methods and cross-functional collaboration. This is an opportunity to shape manufacturing processes and layouts at scale while contributing to a safety‑driven culture.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage and review production plans to meet output, cost and quality objectives
  • Monitor expenditure and forecast resource and production capacity requirements
  • Optimise manufacturing layouts for assembly and materials handling
  • Design and improve manufacturing processes, equipment and machine utilisation
  • Plan and sequence manufacturing operations to improve flow and efficiency
  • Provide guidance and input into engineering design concepts for manufacturability
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma / DMAIC methodologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality, cost and productivity improvements

Key requirements

  • HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing or production engineering environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels
  • Computer literate with a practical, data-driven mindset
  • Proactive, driven and confident with a strong work ethic
