Manufacturing Engineer

Overview

In this role you will drive continuous improvement across the NPI process, manufacturing cells, and supply chain to boost efficiency and quality. You will collaborate with shop floor technicians and engineers to implement new assets, standardize processes, and train operatives. You will lead lean projects to cut costs and shorten lead times while ensuring design-for-manufacture principles are applied. This position offers hands-on problem solving in a global, precision-metrology environment with a focus on delivering robust, high-quality production.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with machine shop staff to understand CNC, manual tools, grinding, and related processes
• Provide technical production support to maintain product quality and efficiency
• Identify and justify new machine tools and implement assets and processes with training
• Work with engineering to ensure products are designed for manufacture/assembly and drive production best practices
• Introduce standard operating procedures for production and drive process capability and quality
• Lead Lean Manufacturing projects to improve new and existing products within time and budget
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean techniques to meet operational goals
