Senior Civil Construction Manager

Overview

As Senior Civil Construction Manager, you will lead the civil construction delivery of a 400m Thames Water flagship project in East London, ensuring safe, on-time, and within-budget execution to high quality standards. You will provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers and site teams, elevating delivery capability across the business. You’ll collaborate with design, commercial and client teams to align objectives and manage risks and opportunities for improved delivery. This role combines leadership, technical expertise and stakeholder engagement to shape a landmark infrastructure program.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil construction delivery for a 400m Thames Water flagship project
• Oversee project scope, programme, quality, cost and resource management
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards
• Collaborate with design, commercial and client teams to meet objectives
• Identify and manage project risks and opportunities for improved delivery
• Build and maintain relationships with Thames Water and key stakeholders
• Mentor and develop engineers, construction managers and site teams
• Promote knowledge sharing, continuous improvement and professional development

Key requirements

• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status through ICE or equivalent
• Extensive experience delivering civil work on major infrastructure projects
• Strong background in UK water or wastewater sector, ideally Thames Water
• Proven leadership of large multidisciplinary construction teams
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
