Transport Modeller

Overview

In this role you will contribute to Arup’s Transport Consulting team by developing strategic transport models, forecasting future conditions and testing mitigation scenarios. You will work across data analysis, model development, reporting, visualization and client engagement, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on high-profile schemes. Responsibilities

• Develop strategic transport models across highways, public transport and multimodal networks
• Forecast future conditions and test mitigation scenarios
• Undertake scheme assessment and contribute to bids
• Manage the full modelling lifecycle: data analysis, model development, reporting and visualization
• Engage with clients and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across geographies

Key requirements

• Experience in transport modelling across highways, public transport and/or multimodal models
• Proven experience using VISUM, SATURN, CUBE or MATSim, including development, calibration and validation
• Understanding of TAG requirements, forecasting and scenario testing
• Strong data analysis, reporting and technical note writing skills with high presentation standards
• Excellent communication and ability to work autonomously and in a multidisciplinary team
