Overview
As Electronic Design Engineer you will be a key member of the design team, acting as a primary interface to manufacturing to support production activities. You will tackle engineering challenges in core electronics and shape designs for robust life-cycle support. Your work will span from design to manufacturing, delivering solutions that meet customer needs and improve manufacturability. This role offers growth in a cutting-edge defence environment with cross-functional collaboration and impact on product reliability.

Responsibilities
- Interface with manufacturing teams to provide knowledge and support
- Lead design-related activities through the product lifecycle in collaboration with other engineers
- Help shape and improve designs for manufacture and maintenance in production environments
- Deliver robust technical outputs and documentation for stakeholders
- Drive design verification and issue resolution in manufacturing context
- Contribute to continuous improvement and design-for-manufacture initiatives
Key requirements
- Degree qualified (or equivalent industry experience) with experience in designing products/systems or supporting designs during manufacturing
- Proven experience in analogue and digital electronics design
- Investigative skills to identify root causes of design issues and implement corrective actions
- Ability to work autonomously, lead delivery of work, and engage with stakeholders
- Excellent verbal communication, negotiation and influencing skills; ability to write clear engineering documentation
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on resolving manufacturing issues and implementing DFM improvements
