Senior Quantity Surveyor

Overview

In this role you will take overall commercial responsibility on civil engineering projects, from valuations to final accounts, working closely with site teams. You will support growth in the Worcestershire region by delivering on live schemes and contributing to tendered frameworks. The position blends site and office work, demanding strong cost control, procurement, and team leadership. This is an opportunity to shape project commercial outcomes within a growing contractor and progress toward senior commercial leadership.

Responsibilities

• Overall commercial responsibility for projects (valuations, cost value reports, final accounting)
• Measurement and measurement-based reporting for progress and value
• Subcontract procurement and payment processing
• Cash collection and forecasting in collaboration with site team
• Management of subordinate QS staff
• Support on live projects across a regional geographies
• Engage with frameworks and private/public sector clients

Key requirements

• Strong general civil engineering background
• Experience on diverse civil elements (earthworks, highways, deep drainage, s278s, footways, culverts)
• Proven track record as a Senior Quantity Surveyor
• Ability to operate across site and office environments
