Overview

In this role you will lead energy-focused projects or a portfolio, driving delivery safely, on time and within budget while meeting technical requirements. You will monitor progress, manage risks and finances, and keep stakeholders informed. You’ll apply contract administration and compliance practices, analyzing data to support decisions. This position sits within a collaborative, high-impact team delivering sustainable solutions for complex energy projects.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver small to medium scale projects or programmes of work
  • Drive on-time, on-budget delivery with safety and technical compliance
  • Track milestones, budget, and progress; provide stakeholder reports
  • Identify risks and resolve issues; update programme budget and escalate when needed
  • Handle contract administration activities (with support of Commercial Manager) including variations and queries
  • Use financial systems to plan, schedule, and manage budgets; flag variances
  • Advise colleagues on compliance processes and behavioural standards
  • Analyze data to identify themes and inform project decisions
  • Share process improvements and best practices to senior management
  • Collaborate across the organisation to ensure alignment with internal customer expectations
  • Advise senior management on issues to support successful delivery in line with objectives

Key requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
  • Relevant professional qualification or chartered status
  • Proven track record delivering complex, dynamic projects with safety, security and environmental responsibility
  • Strong project, financial, change management and facilitation skills
  • Proficient in estimating, scheduling, programming and risk tools
  • Commercial acumen; ability to manage client and stakeholder relationships
  • Strong presentation, influencing, facilitation, communication and organisational skills
  • Knowledge of own area and understanding of wider programme and business
