Overview

In this role, you lead strategic growth for EY’s Government & Infrastructure practice, guiding how we win opportunities with public sector clients. You’ll drive market demand, manage the full sales cycle, and build senior-level government relationships to secure contracts. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to craft compelling proposals and navigate regulatory and procurement landscapes. You’ll operate in a fast-paced, policy-influenced environment and shape how EY delivers public sector solutions. Responsibilities

  • Design and implement targeted business development strategies for accounts, including market analysis and competitive assessments
  • Build and maintain relationships with government officials and decision-makers to grow opportunities
  • Identify and qualify potential opportunities aligned with EY capabilities and goals
  • Lead proposal, bid, and presentation development with internal teams for government stakeholders
  • Oversee the full sales cycle from initial engagement to contract negotiation and close
  • Stay informed on government market trends, procurement processes, and regulatory changes
  • Monitor pipeline, forecasts, and revenue targets to inform strategy
  • Collaborate with marketing, product development, and legal to pursue government opportunities

Key requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of the government landscape, stakeholders, decision-making, and regulations in the UK public sector
  • Proven track record selling to government agencies and understanding public sector procurement
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills with government officials
  • Strategic thinking to develop and execute growth plans that deliver results
  • Experience leading teams, driving sales performance, and managing complex deals
  • Advanced negotiation and influencing capabilities for senior-level engagements
