International Binder Broker

Overview

Autonomous role in an independent London insurance broker, focused on international delegated authority (binder) business. You will manage and grow binder facilities, negotiate with London Market insurers, and strengthen cross-border relationships with coverholders and overseas intermediaries. You will structure and place delegated authority solutions for clients and identify opportunities to expand facilities. The role combines entrepreneurial autonomy with collaborative delivery in a growing business.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop an international delegated authority portfolio
• Negotiate binder facilities with London Market insurers
• Build and strengthen relationships with insurers, MGAs, coverholders and international brokers
• Work with clients to structure and place delegated authority business
• Identify opportunities to grow existing facilities and develop new binder arrangements
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure high technical and client service
• Maintain understanding of market trends and underwriting appetite

Key requirements

• Experience placing and managing international delegated authority (binder) business within the London Market
• Background in any non-marine product class, with flexibility around specialism
• Strong relationships with London Market insurers and delegated authority underwriters
• Commercially minded with the ability to develop business opportunities
• Comfortable working independently within a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment
