In this role you will lead civil engineering aspects of energy projects from concept to detailed design, delivering robust technical outputs. You will work within AFRY’s Energy Division to support feasibility studies, design reviews, and site activities, contributing to sustainable energy solutions. You’ll mentor junior engineers, manage risk and maintain professional standards across UK projects. Responsibilities
- Lead civil engineering work from concept to detailed design, producing drawings, specifications, estimates and schedules
- Provide technical guidance, review designs and resolve project challenges with practical expertise
- Prepare reports and documentation and support site activities through inspections and construction monitoring
- Identify and mitigate health & safety, design, sustainability and commercial risks
- Represent the company professionally, support business development, and mentor junior engineers
Key requirements
- Minimum 2:1 degree in civil engineering
- Chartered Engineer status
- Detailed working knowledge of UK codes and standards (Eurocodes and British Standards)
