Overview

As Head of Anglophone Africa, you will define and scale supply-side partnerships and growth for Anglophone markets. You’ll lead a on-the-ground team, owning user acquisition, retention, pricing, and product experience to drive profitability. Reporting to the Growth Director for Africa, you’ll be the face of Anglophone Africa internally and externally, shaping a fast-paced, impact-driven expansion. This role blends strategic vision with hands-on execution in a mission to reduce inequity through cross-border remittances.

Responsibilities

  • Set vision and execution plan for launching and scaling Anglophone Africa markets
  • Lead on-the-ground team to meet timelines and deliver growth initiatives
  • Own growth levers: acquisition, retention, pricing, user research, product quality, CX
  • Report progress and insights to exec leadership with data-driven, test-and-learn approach
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability, brand awareness and growth
  • Hire, develop and retain diverse talent
  • Collaborate with internal functions (Customer Service, Finance, Tech, Legal, Compliance, People Ops)
  • Build relationships with diaspora communities and commercial partners to drive growth and improve unit economics
  • Monitor and interpret growth, operational, and financial metrics to inform decisions
  • Recommend product improvements based on market and customer feedback

Key requirements

  • London or Dubai based preference
  • Ability to travel internationally
  • Strong networks in Anglophone West Africa diaspora
  • Advanced stakeholder management
  • Experience building and leading teams
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision making; Excel/Google Sheets proficient; SQL, Python, R a plus
  • 7 to 15 years in fast-paced, high-growth environments (startups, operations, consulting, finance)
  • Bachelor or Advanced degree
  • Fluency in English; other languages beneficial (e.g., Twi, Fante, Yoruba)
