Responsibilities
- Support design, analysis, and construction of dams, reservoirs, dykes, spillways, and hydropower facilities across Canada
- Conduct Dam Safety Reviews and inspections per guidelines with potential for travel
- Lead and coordinate geotechnical and multidisciplinary project teams
- Mentor colleagues and foster a culture of technical excellence
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to build strong relationships
- Contribute to business development, proposals, and market expansion
- Drive innovation through digitization, advanced numerical modeling, and emerging technologies
- Support climate change adaptation, risk reduction, and aging dam initiatives
Key requirements
- 7+ years of relevant industry experience
- Professional Engineer in good standing with P.Eng or eligible to obtain license
- Experience in dam engineering, dam safety, geotechnical design, and/or dam construction
- Knowledge of Canadian and global dam guidelines and standards
- General knowledge of GeoStudio, LeapFrog, Rocscience
- Ability to manage projects independently
- Strong communication and client engagement skills
- Proactive problem-solver with commitment to technical excellence and mentorship
