Overview
As a Consultant in Community Paediatrics you will provide expert clinical assessment and management across child development, ASD, ADHD, and neuro-disability within a supportive team. You will work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary group and contribute to service development, mentoring, and appraisal. The role offers opportunities for career progression and shaping future community child health services within the wider Trust. Responsibilities
- Provide expert clinical assessment and management in community child health across developmental and neuro-disability domains
- Work independently within a supportive multidisciplinary team
- Engage in clinical audit, medical education, and multi-professional training
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to service development
- Contribute to shaping future community health services and integrated care across Trusts
- Prioritise workload and navigate NHS management structures to deliver care
Key requirements
- Full GMC registration
- Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics & Child Health (or equivalent)
- Consultant level capability in Community Child Health
- Ability to work independently and provide expert clinical assessment and management
- Proven experience in clinical audit, medical education, and multi-professional training
- Understanding of NHS management structure and workload prioritisation
- Strong written and oral communication, and experience in multidisciplinary teams
