Overview
As a Quantity Surveyor in the Building team, you will own key commercial activities across projects to safeguard margins. You’ll work with senior commercial staff and operations to guide cost control and financial reporting, shaping project outcomes. Your focus will be on subcontractor management, cost/value reconciliation, and identifying commercial risks and opportunities to support delivery. This role offers exposure to a Tier 1 contractor environment and opportunities to grow your career. You will contribute to the ongoing financial health of projects in a dynamic, multi-project setting.

Responsibilities
- Support commercial management of projects, including cost control, forecasting, and reporting
- Assist in procurement and administration of subcontractor packages
- Manage valuations, variations, and applications for payment
- Contribute to monthly cost/value reconciliation and financial reporting
- Work closely with operational teams to support project delivery and identify commercial risks and opportunities
Key requirements
- Experience working on construction projects in a commercial capacity
- Understanding of measurement, valuation, and standard forms of contract
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively within a project team
- Good communication skills and proactive problem-solving
- Competence in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Experience across health, education, commercial, or mixed-use sectors is desirable
- Working towards or holding RICS membership is an advantage
