Civil Engineering – Expressions of Interest

Overview

In this role you apply civil engineering expertise to drainage and SuDS projects within Stantec’s UK water teams. You will work across feasibility to detailed design, collaborating with multi-disciplinary groups to deliver high-quality solutions on time and on budget. The work supports improving water quality, reducing flood risk, and building resilient communities at scale. You will be part of a respected, growth-oriented team that delivers meaningful, real-world impact across diverse water projects. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape infrastructure that communities rely on for decades.

Responsibilities

• Take projects from feasibility through to detailed design
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and support or lead other engineers
• Deliver quality work within time and budget
• Contribute to project planning, delivery, and stakeholder communications
• Assist in developing resilient drainage and SuDS solutions for water infrastructure
• Support or lead design development and reviews
• Navigate regulatory approvals and design standards
• Contribute to client-facing deliverables and reports

Key requirements

• Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering
• Experience in drainage or SuDS design
• Comfort with leading or supporting engineers
• Ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
• Chartered or working towards chartered status preferred
• Experience across feasibility to detailed design stages
