Overview
In this role you will lead ship modification, upgrade and repair activities across international maritime programmes, coordinating multi‑disciplinary teams to deliver safely and on scope. You’ll serve as the bridge between UK programme teams and in‑country delivery personnel, working with shipyards, OEMs and naval stakeholders. Travel to the Middle East and deployments will be part of the role to support annual modification periods. You’ll operate in a fast‑paced, safety‑driven environment and drive continuous improvement across projects.

Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end delivery of ship repair, modification and upgrade tasks aligned with contract, technical and safety requirements
- Coordinate on‑site teams, subcontractors and engineering teams across in‑country and UK sites
- Manage internal and external stakeholders, including engagement with BAE Systems Saudi Arabia
- Define, plan and control work packages: resource allocation, progress tracking and performance reporting
- Identify risks, develop mitigation plans and ensure escalation as needed
- Provide on‑site leadership to deployed teams, promoting safety, accountability and continuous improvement
Key requirements
- Proven experience in a Business Delivery role within ship repair, maritime upgrades or naval platform modifications
- Ability to operate in a deployed environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management across multicultural teams; collaboration with shipyards UK and Middle East, OEMs, naval stakeholders and engineering staff
- Experience managing maritime projects within the GCC/KSA; knowledge of engineering documentation, drawings and maintenance specifications is advantageous
- Recognised project management qualifications (advantageous)
