Overview

In this role you will oversee a prestigious Hard Services FM contract in Central London, leading a engineering and building services team to deliver services on time, within budget and to contract KPIs. You will drive safety, quality and compliance, manage client relationships and coordinate across multi-site operations. This is a high-visibility role within a market-leading FM organisation offering progression and impact on critical facilities. You will shape performance through strong leadership and proactive stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop directly employed engineering and building services teams
  • Ensure contractual KPIs and SLAs are consistently met
  • Oversee Hard Services FM operations, maintenance programmes and compliance
  • Drive Health & Safety, environmental and quality performance
  • Manage resource planning, recruitment and workforce requirements
  • Lead client meetings, audits and performance reviews
  • Manage risk registers, F-Gas compliance and asset replacement programmes
  • Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers and key stakeholders

Key requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing Hard Services FM contracts
  • Strong technical understanding of building services engineering
  • Experience managing commercial office environments or multi-site portfolios
  • Experience leading engineering teams and subcontractors
  • Knowledge of statutory compliance, H&S legislation and FM best practice
  • Strong commercial awareness and budget management
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Relevant technical and/or management qualifications (IOSH, NEBOSH, HNC/HND, IWFM or equivalent desirable)
