Finance Manager

Overview

As Finance Manager, you will own the finance function within a growing Bradford manufacturing business, leading a small team and partnering with senior management to steer commercial decisions. You’ll balance strong financial control with commercial insight to support growth and optimise performance. You drive robust reporting, KPIs, and cash flow while ensuring regulatory compliance and continuous improvement across finance systems.

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts with variance analysis and commentary
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
• Monitor manufacturing costs, margins and operational performance
• Develop and enhance financial reporting and KPI analysis
• Support senior management with commercial and strategic decision-making
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations and maintain robust financial controls
• Lead and develop a finance team of four
• Oversee year-end audit process and act as primary contact for external auditors
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across finance systems and processes
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements

Key requirements

• CIMA qualification (or equivalent ACCA/ACA)
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering or production environments
• Strong management accounting and financial control experience
• Experience managing and developing finance staff
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong ERP and Excel skills
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to finance and non-finance stakeholders
