Associate/Associate Director – Project Manager

Overview

In this Associate Project Manager role, you will help shape client-side programme management across water, energy and transport infrastructure. You’ll strengthen Arup’s PPM capability, develop new client relationships and identify bids to grow the business. You’ll lead multidisciplinary delivery teams, apply commercial judgement, and support the development of sustainable, value-led solutions. Responsibilities

• Develop and manage client relationships and bid activity to win new work
• Lead delivery of major infrastructure programmes or frameworks with multidisciplinary teams
• Support programme formation and commercial decision-making for clients
• Collaborate with Arup capabilities to tailor client solutions
• Coach and mentor junior team members and contribute to team development
• Help define and grow Arup’s strategic PPM offerings

Key requirements

• Proven track record of winning work and delivering complex infrastructure projects or programmes
• Strong client-facing experience and ability to understand client requirements
• Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary teams and stakeholder engagement
• Commercial awareness and ability to balance cost, time and quality
• Excellent communication and collaborative working style
• Experience with NEC3/4 or bespoke contract forms; procurement experience is a plus
