Overview
In this role you will contribute to Solvency II and other regulatory reporting within AIG UK, ensuring governance and reporting accuracy. You will work closely with US GAAP, Legal Entity, actuarial, and risk teams to maintain a robust regulatory control environment. The position involves coordinating with an outsourced team to produce timely regulatory returns and supporting external auditors and internal controls. You will translate complex accounting policies into compliant reporting and help shape regulatory submissions. Responsibilities
- Support Head of Regulatory Reporting in UK/EMEA Solvency II and Luxembourg local reporting
- Contribute to the UK/EMEA Regulatory Reporting control environment and governance
- Coordinate with US GAAP and Legal Entity reporting teams for consistent processes and data flow
- Support External Auditors, Internal Audit, Actuarial and Risk teams on regulatory topics
- Collaborate with Actuarial, ERM and Strategic Finance to ensure reporting consistency and issue resolution
- Liaise with outsourced team to produce regulatory returns on time
- Provide training and feedback to the outsourced team
- Perform analytical reviews on judgements and assumptions for regulatory reporting and document policy methodologies
Key requirements
- Qualified accountant with Big 4 experience preferable
- Experience delivering Solvency II and regulatory reporting in a large, complex insurance organisation
- Proven track record of meeting tight deadlines
- Ability to explain complex concepts to senior management
- Experience in a matrix organization with mentoring and staff development
- Strong accounting technical knowledge in US GAAP, UK GAAP, European GAAP, and Solvency II
