Overview
In this on-site Quantity Surveyor role you will manage the contractual and financial aspects of mechanical installation projects, ensuring accurate measurement, cost control, and NEC/JCT contract administration. You will work within the project team to monitor budgets, programmes and risk, while leading client meetings and monthly reporting. This position offers involvement in high-value, safety-critical infrastructure with a collaborative commercial team and a clear path for professional growth.

Responsibilities
- Administer contracts and ensure obligations are met; manage contract variations and claims
- Prepare and manage monthly cost reports; monitor actual vs forecast expenditures against progress
- Measure drawings accurately for forecasting and variations; produce payment applications and manage cash flow
- Manage and administer supply chain accounts in line with contract and statutory requirements
- Conduct regular client meetings to discuss progress and commercial status; build relationships with stakeholders; perform site tours to report progress
Key requirements
- ONC/HNC (Building Services / Construction Management / Quantity Surveying)
- Experience in mechanical installations
- Proficiency in measuring drawings and cost estimation aligned with drawings/schedules/specifications
- Experience with NEC contract administration
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to obtain SC Clearance
- Desirable: BSc in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
- Desirable: Membership of RICS, CIOB, ICES, or CIArb
