Overview
As a Business Development Manager in Costain’s water sector, you will shape strategic growth by developing customer propositions for water company clients. You will build strong relationships across the UK to underpin the delivery of our business plan targets and long-term pipelines. You will lead early shaping of opportunities, develop differentiated solutions, and drive bid coordination within governance processes. This role offers the chance to influence major infrastructure programmes and contribute to Costain’s mission to be the UK’s leading smart infrastructure solutions company.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a strategic opportunity pipeline for water sector opportunities
- Build and maintain strong client and partner relationships across the UK
- Lead early shaping of strategic opportunities with differentiated propositions
- Oversee cross-functional engagement with internal teams (Sectors, Commercial, Work Winning, Engineering Services, Corporate Functions)
- Ensure compliance with Work Winning governance and support tender development with customer-focused solutions
- Maintain opportunities pipeline in Dynamics CRM aligned with strategy and governance processes
- Collaborate with delivery leaders to align opportunities with capacity and capability
- Support the growth plan and strategic plans for larger opportunities in the water sector
