Overview

In this role, you will lead the EMEA client coverage and sales strategy for banks and financial institutions, driving revenue, liquidity, and new client wins. You’ll manage and develop a high-performing team while elevating BNY’s market presence through strategic client engagement. You will partner with product, risk, and operations to deliver holistic solutions with strong governance and risk awareness. This is a high-impact, enterprise-wide leadership role that shapes cross-border client experiences and drives multi‑line growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the EMEA client coverage and sales strategy across banks and financial institutions for designated countries
  • Own sales, revenue, and liquidity targets including pipeline development and disciplined sales management
  • Coach and develop a high-performing team of Client Executives and Sales professionals
  • Enhance brand and market presence through strategic client engagement and cross-functional collaboration
  • Synergize sales and service with Service leaders to deliver best-in-class client experiences and retention
  • Collaborate with product, compliance, risk, legal, finance, and operations to deliver holistic solutions within risk appetite
  • Build senior relationships across BNY’s business lines and external stakeholders to expand wallet share and cross-sell
  • Establish and track segment KPIs and ensure governance and reporting

Key requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field; advanced degree (MBA or relevant graduate degree) preferred
  • Extensive experience in sales, client coverage, or relationship management within payments, treasury services, transaction banking, or related financial services
  • Proven track record leading large, distributed sales teams to exceed targets in complex corporate and public sector segments
  • Deep understanding of the bank segment in covered countries; familiarity with payments, liquidity, receivables, payables, trade solutions
  • Ability to collaborate across product, compliance, risk, legal, and operations with strong risk management and regulatory awareness
  • People leadership experience; building teams, talent development, accountability, and coaching
  • Proficiency in English, Arabic and French
