Responsibilities
- Design electrical layouts and schematics for Si and SiC power modules
- Perform electrical simulations to analyze circuit behavior and optimize switching performance
- Conduct electromagnetic field simulations to minimize parasitics and meet specifications
- Evaluate thermal performance in conjunction with electrical design
- Select components to meet performance requirements
- Optimize designs for electrical efficiency, reliability, and manufacturability
- Support prototype builds and testing, analyze data to refine designs
- Prepare technical documentation including schematics, simulation reports, and test plans
- Take on other engineering duties as required
Key requirements
- 3+ years of experience in power module design, particularly Si/SiC
- Proficiency in Altium Designer
- Experience with SPICE and PLECS
- Experience with ANSYS Q3D, ANSYS Maxwell, and ANSYS Icepak
- Solid understanding of power semiconductor devices and loss mechanisms
- Familiarity with reliability and quality standards for power modules
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
