Business Change Consultant (National Security)

Overview

In this role you will drive business change across transformation programmes in the national security sector. You’ll partner with senior stakeholders to shape change strategies and ensure smooth adoption of new ways of working. You will assess readiness, address resistance, and support benefits realisation beyond go-live. This position offers high-profile, complex delivery work with genuine national impact. You will work in a security-conscious environment, translating complexity into clear, actionable plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead business change activity across transformation programmes
• Develop and implement change strategies, stakeholder engagement plans, and communications
• Assess organisational readiness and manage resistance to change
• Work closely with programme and delivery teams to embed new ways of working
• Support benefits realisation and track adoption post-go-live

Key requirements

• Active eDV clearance (non-negotiable)
• Proven experience in business change or transformation roles, ideally within defence, security, or government
• Strong stakeholder management skills, comfortable operating at senior level
• Experience with change frameworks (Prosci, APMG, or similar)
• Confident communicator, able to translate complexity into clear action
