Overview

As a Service Provider Systems Engineer at Nutanix, you will drive presales support and technical collaboration with service providers to grow their businesses. You’ll shape proposals, run POCs, and craft technical strategies with cross-functional teams, strengthening partner relationships and expanding the MSP ecosystem in EMEA. This role combines hands-on virtualization and cloud technologies with a strong emphasis on customer-facing impact and regional growth. You’ll operate with independence, learn rapidly, and contribute to innovative solutions that empower partners to compete.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical presales support to Service Provider sellers
  • Develop proposals and sizing based on SP data
  • Organize and manage proofs of concept (POCs) and demonstrations
  • Collaborate with specialists and internal teams on technical strategies
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Service Providers for mutual success
  • Build relationships within partner networks to boost community engagement
  • Achieve performance metrics and contribute to managed services growth
  • Support team growth by identifying resource needs
  • Foster innovation and continuous learning through new technologies and processes
  • Coordinate with Regional SE Manager for field alignment with partners
  • Learn new technologies quickly to help partners adapt solutions

Key requirements

  • Minimum 5 years presales experience in the Service Provider space or Systems Integrators
  • 10 years of customer-facing and/or technical experience
  • Strong networking and virtualization skills
  • Experience with AWS and Azure
  • Storage technologies and multi-tenancy architectures
  • Automation, scripting, and blueprinting tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform)
  • Understanding of cloud-native technologies and security practices
  • Public speaking and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently and translate goals into action plans
  • Solid understanding of VMware Cloud Director and/or Cloud Foundation (VCF)
