Overview
In this role you drive the execution of a portfolio of major subcontracts for LMUK Ampthill and LM US programmes. You lead cross-functional subcontract teams and manage supplier performance, risk, and contractual details to meet cost, schedule, and technical targets. You will build strong supplier and stakeholder relationships while coordinating contract administration across complex, build-to-print and modified COTS items. The position leverages international programmes and a mix of on-site and hybrid work to deliver critical defence capabilities. You will work in a security-conscious environment, with a clear focus on timely delivery and risk mitigation.
Responsibilities
- Manage major subcontracts including cost, schedule, and technical performance for high-risk or complex items
- Lead multifunctional teams (quality, engineering, supply chain) to fulfill subcontract requirements
- Develop subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms for procurement of specialised materials and services
- Prepare, award and manage subcontracts and related change activity
- Select or recommend subcontractors and draft subcontract packages
- Coordinate recruitment, performance reviews, and related actions as needed
- Oversee supply chain risk and opportunity management across programmes
- Ensure delivery within tight schedules in dynamic environments
