Overview
In this role you will deliver robust project controls with a focus on planning for defense and other complex projects. You will partner with project managers to build and maintain schedules, reduce uncertainty, and inform timely decision-making. You’ll support change management, progress reporting, and action recovery on slipped timelines. Responsibilities
- Create and maintain project schedules aligned with requirements
- Develop schedules with project manager and team
- Reduce uncertainty and improve efficiency
- Coordinate with project managers to plan work and assign tasks
- Evaluate schedule progress and identify problem areas
- Support change management processes and procedures
- Assist in developing status reports for management
- Conduct analyses for alternative actions or recovery on slipped schedules
Key requirements
- Professional Project Controls experience with emphasis on Planning & Scheduling
- Strong knowledge of Primavera (P6) and other planning/resourcing software
- Ability to coordinate with multiple teams and operate with multidisciplinary knowledge
- Degree in a relevant technical or management field or suitable equivalent
- Membership of a professional body (e.g., APM, PMI)
- Strong leadership capable of mobilising and leading by example
