Overview

As a Finance Business Partner, you will own end-to-end financials for your area, partnering with operational and product leads to drive commercial decisions. You’ll combine management accounting with financial modelling, product costing and profitability analysis to influence performance. You’ll balance detailed analysis with the ability to explain insights clearly to non-finance colleagues, shaping decisions across the business. This role offers ownership, hybrid remote work with occasional travel to the Runcorn Head Office, and meaningful impact within a large health and care organisation.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end financial ownership for your area, including month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Produce monthly performance reporting with variance analysis and actionable commentary
  • Lead budgets and rolling forecasts, challenging assumptions and identifying risks/opportunities
  • Maintain rolling forecasts and communicate likely financial positions between cycles
  • Build and maintain financial models for commercial/operational decision-making
  • Provide product and contract profitability analysis to drive margin improvements
  • Offer product costing and commercial analysis to support pricing and business cases
  • Collaborate with operational/product leaders and provide constructive challenge
  • Ensure sales and billing accuracy and manage aged debt with AR and Credit Control
  • Translate complex financial information into clear insights for non-finance colleagues
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships to involve Finance in key decisions

Key requirements

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent – qualified, or part-qualified with strong experience
  • Strong management accounting experience (month-end, journals, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations)
  • Experience producing budgets and rolling forecasts with variance analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills and robust financial modelling
  • Strong analytical ability to interpret financial information
  • Excellent communication skills to explain complex data to non-finance colleagues
  • Confidence to challenge, influence and build credibility with stakeholders
  • Proactive and organised with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
