Employment Solicitor (Head of Department)

Overview

In this role you lead and shape the employment department for a regional Essex law firm. You will build and grow the team, set the strategy, and oversee both contentious and non-contentious matters for employees and employers. You will leverage a strong referral network and relationships with local businesses to expand the firm’s employment offering. Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and grow the employment offering in Essex
• Build and shape the employment team and department
• Set strategy and drive growth from the outset
• Mentor and supervise Employment Lawyers
• Advise on a broad range of employment law matters (contentious and non-contentious) for employees and employers
• Develop and maintain a strong referral network with local businesses and organisations

Key requirements

• 6+ PQE in employment law
• Proven track record across broad remit of employment law
• Experience mentoring/supervising Employment Lawyers
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and referrers
• Established following would be advantageous
