As Senior Engineer – Systems Engineering at our Bristol Global Technology Centre, you will shape the requirements, architecture and verification strategy for future aircraft systems. Responsibilities

  • Define and develop system requirements and translate them into feasible solutions
  • Develop system functions, architectures, items and components
  • Apply model-based systems engineering (MBSE) for requirements and architecture creation
  • Define verification approaches and communicate them to domain teams
  • Collaborate with systems architects, mechanical and simulation engineers to ensure requirements are met
  • Anticipate and manage transversal technical and business issues
  • Generate technical reports and present findings
  • Develop specification documents and procedures for new products before manufacturing
  • Ensure configuration management across system and components from requirements to operation
  • Provide technical feedback on mechanical and electrical sub-systems

Key requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in engineering
  • Experience in requirements engineering and lifecycle management
  • Experience in aerospace systems engineering for concept or product development
  • Experience in safety-critical system development
  • Experience in MBSE (SysML) and architectural studies
  • Experience in functional and physical system development
  • Experience in Safety Assessment and Compliance Planning (FTA/FMEA, e.g. ANSYS Medini)
  • Experience in developing verification cases for subsystems and development
  • Experience applying systems engineering in R&T projects
  • Understanding of international standards, design practices, certification requirements and service issues
