Overview

As Finance Business Partner to the COO and Operations leadership, you will steer financial planning, forecasting and performance analysis to inform decision-making and drive efficiency. You’ll translate complex data into actionable insights, build cost and resource models, and support strategic initiatives and business cases across Finance, Actuarial and Operations. You’ll lead a high-performing team, embed governance and risk management, and influence senior stakeholders to shape strategic priorities. This role offers impact through transforming forecasting methods, reporting, and analytics in a hybrid, cross-functional setting.

Responsibilities

  • Act as finance partner to COO and Operations leadership, delivering strategic insights and commercial support
  • Lead forecasting, planning and analysis of claims performance across product portfolio
  • Develop cost/resource models to improve transparency and efficiency
  • Evaluate investments and transformation initiatives with business cases and impact measurement
  • Coordinate claims forecasting with actuarial inputs to ensure robust financial assumptions
  • Oversee and enhance claims management information, identifying trends, risks and opportunities
  • Drive improvements in forecasting methods, reporting capabilities and analytics
  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team and foster accountability and continuous improvement
  • Build relationships with senior stakeholders to influence strategic priorities and financial partnership
  • Embed governance, risk management and regulatory compliance including Consumer Duty, Conduct Risk and Solvency II

Key requirements

  • Qualified Accountant or Actuary with significant post-qualified experience
  • Strong Finance Business Partnering experience with the ability to influence senior leaders
  • Deep understanding of FP&A, forecasting and performance management in large/complex organisations
  • Experience building financial models, claims forecasts, resource plans and business cases
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-to-insights ability
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management across Finance and operations
  • Proven track record of leading and developing teams through change
  • Strong commercial awareness balancing operational objectives with financial performance and control
