Overview
In this role, you will assess and manage risks for water systems in commercial and industrial facilities. You will work within the water treatment division to protect occupants, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain operations. You will apply technical water treatment knowledge to develop mitigation plans and support client-facing reporting. This position offers collaboration with facilities teams and external partners, contributing to safer, compliant water systems at scale.
Responsibilities
- Conduct risk assessments of water systems (cooling towers, domestic water, irrigation, decorative features) and evaluate hazards and impact
- Ensure compliance with EPA, OSHA and industry guidelines; prepare audit/inspection documentation
- Review water quality data, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions
- Develop risk mitigation plans and water safety/emergency procedures; propose upgrades or operational changes
- Prepare reports for clients and stakeholders; provide guidance on water safety practices
- Collaborate with water treatment technicians, facility engineers, EHS teams, and external labs or regulators
Key requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in water treatment, facility management, EHS, or related field
- Understanding of water chemistry, microbiology (Legionella), water treatment technologies, and HVAC systems
- Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and regulatory frameworks
- Certifications such as CWT or CLP are highly desirable
