Senior Site Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead the on-site delivery of a high-profile refurbishment and extension project in Leeds, transforming a office block into a 110-bedroom hotel. You will work within a senior team to ensure safety, programme, and quality targets are met on a 14-month timeline. The role involves coordinating subcontractors, design interfaces, and site logistics to keep the project progressing smoothly. This is an opportunity to shape a significant conversion project within a collaborative leadership environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day delivery of the hotel refurbishment and extension project
• Lead site health and safety compliance and promote a positive safety culture
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors and site teams
• Chair contractor and progress meetings
• Monitor and drive programme delivery
• Coordinate with design team and resolve construction issues
• Oversee site logistics and site setup
• Maintain quality standards and project documentation
• Collaborate with Contracts Manager on programme objectives and milestones
• Support a Site Manager assigned to the project

Key requirements

• Proven experience managing fast-track refurbishment projects
• Experience in hotel, care home, or similar accommodation-sector projects
• Strong background in commercial refurbishment and fit-out
• Experience delivering projects with structural alterations and extensions
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Proactive approach and high attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment
