GURU Architectural Design Manager

Overview

As Architectural Standards Technical Manager, you will govern the Guru platform content and UI-aligned data for Primark’s store construction program. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external partners to keep architectural and shopfitting information accurate across channels. Your work supports scalable store rollouts, refits, and franchise projects by maintaining standards and documentation. This role offers hybrid work, and a chance to shape how architectural data drives Primark’s expansion.

Responsibilities

• Page creation, hyperlinking and formatting to UI/rulebook standards on the Guru platform
• Content acquisition, creation, testing, and maintenance of architectural, shopfitting and service areas content
• Quality control: check, format, upload content and support continuous system improvement
• Develop and maintain architectural standards including lighting, façades, signage, BOH/FOH, flooring, shopfitting and service area details
• Coordinate technical drawings, 3D models, datasheets and production documentation
• Collaborate with construction, design, architects and third-party partners to align with standards
• Provide stakeholder briefings, support cost approval processes, and manage version control and archiving

Key requirements

• Degree in Architecture or Design or equivalent experience in retail design
• Experience across retail architecture and shopfitting including lighting, facades, signage, BOH/FOH, flooring, F&F and services (SCO, fitting rooms, cash desks)
• High level design skills with knowledge of materials and construction methods
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office; SketchUp and Adobe applications preferred
• Project management experience with ability to meet deadlines and deliver end-to-end with accuracy
• Analytical, well-organised, cross-functional collaboration
• Excellent written and verbal communication; discretion with sensitive information
