SAP Manager – Security

Overview

As SAP Manager – Security you will lead and shape the SAP security program, aligning with information security policies to protect critical applications. You will mentor a team of security consultants and own governance, risk, and compliance activities within SAP. The role interfaces with audits, project teams, and offshore support to embed security into deployments. You will operate in a hybrid IT environment, balancing security controls with business needs to safeguard services for customers and regulators. This is a chance to impact how Yorkshire Water securely enables large-scale SAP solutions in a critical infrastructure setting.

Responsibilities

• Define, implement, and maintain the SAP Security roadmap aligned with information security policies
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of internal SAP security consultants
• Own the SAP GRC module, including SoD analysis, mitigation controls, and emergency access management
• Act as primary contact for internal and external audits and maintain compliance
• Embed security requirements into new SAP implementations, upgrades, and rollouts with IT SAP project teams
• Collaborate with offshore AMS security team on incidents, problems, and role assignments

Key requirements

• 10+ years’ experience in SAP Security and Authorisations with managerial experience
• Experience with S/4HANA, Fiori, ECC, BW and SAP Public Cloud products (SuccessFactors, Concur, Ariba, Business Data Cloud, SAP Analytics Cloud) from a security perspective
• Hands-on expertise with SAP GRC (Access Control and Process Control)
• Deep understanding of SAP security auditing tools
• Strong knowledge of internal and external audit processes, compliance frameworks, and risk management
• Exceptional communication skills to explain complex risks to non-technical stakeholders
