Overview
As a Manufacturing Engineer at Assystem, you will support client projects delivering high-quality engineered products that meet demanding manufacturing and testing standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to review designs, create manufacturability methods, and troubleshoot issues across the supply chain. Your work will require thorough documentation, root-cause analyses, and collaboration with local and global partners to ensure smooth execution. This role offers exposure to nuclear engineering expertise and opportunities to impact complex, safety-critical infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities
- Execute technical work packages with traceability and accuracy
- Review designs for manufacturability using standard inspection and test processes
- Develop assembly and constructability methods and approve manufacturing documentation
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues with Supply Chain partners on behalf of a client
- Conduct detailed root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions
- Support project planning and reporting
- Collaborate with local and global partners and supply chain teams
Key requirements
- Knowledge of metallurgy, metallics, and/or composite materials (desirable)
- Experience assessing defect criteria related to cracking, sub-surface defects, surface coating defects, and NDE methods
- Experience in manufacturing and test processes (machining, casting, fabrication, welding)
- Experience manufacturing composites for marine applications, including repair methodologies (desirable)
- Degree in Engineering or a Scientific discipline or equivalent experience
- Computer-literate and tech-savvy
- Ideally working towards professional body membership and chartered status
