Overview

In this role you will drive growth and profitability as the primary liaison for Hexcel’s key customers in the Duxford region. You will work with cross-functional teams to secure new opportunities, protect and grow existing business, and provide technical and commercial support. You’ll contribute to forecasting and budgeting while navigating a multinational manufacturing environment. This is a market-facing role at a global leader in advanced composites with a strong emphasis on customer relationships and strategic pricing.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve or exceed sales targets while maintaining profitability and within budget
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities to increase market share and drive growth
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with key customers and prospects
  • Protect and grow existing business while securing new sales opportunities
  • Support customers with technical queries, coordinating specialist assistance
  • Prepare and provide accurate customer information for sales planning and contract negotiations
  • Monitor and report market, commercial, and technical developments within assigned territories
  • Contribute to short, medium, and long-term sales forecasting and budgeting activities
  • Negotiate pricing, supply arrangements, and contract extensions within agreed parameters
  • Act as the primary liaison between customers and internal departments to ensure excellent service delivery

Key requirements

  • University degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in a Key Account Management, Sales, or Business Development role
  • Background knowledge of composites and/or the aerospace industry is desirable
  • Experience working within a multinational manufacturing environment
  • Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Skilled negotiator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a proactive and self-motivated approach
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a matrix organisation
  • International outlook with willingness and ability to travel as required
