Overview

In this role you will provide specialist engineering support to deliver cabin interior change projects while ensuring safety, compliance and reliability of BA’s fleet. You will lead technical solutions, support production and investigate issues to improve operational performance. The role sits within BA Engineering, contributing to competitive costs and industry-leading technical performance. It’s a hands-on, impact-focused position for engineers who shape cabin equipment and maintenance strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Create technical specifications for new/modified cabin interior designs
  • Prepare financial quotations and business cases for cabin interior projects
  • Provide technical leadership to ensure safety and compliance
  • Offer on-site specialist technical support in production areas
  • Prepare and approve technical data and work instructions for cabin installations and maintenance
  • Investigate safety reports and defects; act to prevent recurrence
  • Evaluate maintenance data, airworthiness directives and industry recommendations
  • Develop and implement technical process improvements and cost reduction initiatives
  • Manage and develop maintenance programmes for aircraft, cabin and components

Key requirements

  • CAA / EASA approvals or BA approvals (Essential)
  • HNC / HND or equivalent in engineering (Essential)
  • Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent industry experience (Essential)
