Senior QA Specialist (Contractors – Outside IR35) – FINTECH / LONDON

Overview

In this role you will lead QA activities on a high-impact project for a financial services technology partner. You will shape the test strategy, advocate QA best practices, and enable a culture where quality is a shared responsibility. You will design, maintain, and execute tests while collaborating with cross-functional teams to maximize automation and coverage. Your work will leverage AI tools to optimize QA processes and improve overall quality, contributing to robust, scalable trading technology solutions.

Responsibilities

• Propose and enhance the test strategy and automation approach for the project
• Challenge existing QA practices and promote QA best practices
• Educate the team to focus on value-added testing and quality culture
• Design, maintain and execute test cases with critical analysis of results
• Develop a deep understanding of business, technical, and operational requirements
• Contribute to defining the QA process
• Collaborate with other QAs and the Dev team to improve automated tests and coverage
• Work with Dev and DevOps to improve test automation tools and solutions

Key requirements

• Significant experience in a QA role
• Ability to derive test cases from functional/technical designs
• Experience with TDD/BDD and Test Automation
• Experience with Cypress, Playwright, or WebdriverIO
• Knowledge of Agile SDLC and QA role within it
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience leveraging AI tools to optimize QA processes and enhance quality
