Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of Clinical Negligence matters from inquiry to settlement
- Conduct initial consultations and triage new enquiries
- Instruct medical experts and liaise with counsel
- Draft Letters of Claim, witness statements, and court documents
- Review medical records and expert evidence chronologies
- Advise on funding arrangements (CFAs, ATE) and client care documentation
- Negotiate with defendants and insurers to secure optimal outcomes
- Maintain strong client relationships and deliver high-quality service
Key requirements
- 1–2 years PQE in Clinical Negligence
- Strong drafting, analytical, and case management skills
- Excellent communication and client handling abilities
- Ability to work independently with appropriate supervision
- High attention to detail and methodical approach
- Strong organisational skills and proactive mindset
- Competence in legal IT systems and Microsoft Office
