Senior Civil Engineer – Energy

Overview

As a Senior Civil Engineer in Stantec’s Energy & Resources team, you will deliver civil engineering solutions across the full project lifecycle for diverse energy sector projects. You’ll work within a multidisciplinary team to design and support delivery of hydro, waste-to-energy, transmission, and other energy infrastructure. You’ll engage in advisory and delivery activities, coordinating with civil, structural, geotechnical, and M&E disciplines to create robust, buildable designs. This is a chance to shape critical energy infrastructure in the UK with a collaborative, quality-driven approach.

Responsibilities

• Contribute across the full lifecycle from concept design to site support
• Deliver innovative civil solutions across diverse and technically challenging energy projects
• Provide advisory and Owner’s Engineer duties through to contractor-facing detailed design
• Coordinate with civil, structural, geotechnical, and M&E disciplines for fully integrated designs
• Support due diligence, troubleshooting, and installation support during projects

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (accredited)
• Progress towards Chartered Engineer status with the Engineering Council and ICE
• Experience in civil design across waterpower/dams, hydropower/pumped storage, energy from waste, or transmission & distribution
• Ability to deliver designs and reports with multidisciplinary coordination
• Experience in 3D design environments and Common Data Environments (CDEs)
• Collaborative, client-focused approach and engagement with wider engineering community
