Geotechnical Analyst – Ground Engineering

Overview

In this role you will deliver geotechnical designs and analyses for tender and contract purposes, driving technical excellence across the Ground Improvement discipline. You will work on piled foundations, ground improvement schemes and retaining walls, while developing design tools and supporting junior engineers. You will liaise with clients to ensure Eurocode/BS compliance and guide site teams to execute designs correctly. This is a hands-on, collaborative position with a strong focus on technical leadership and training.

Responsibilities

• Prepare competent, competitive designs for piled foundations, ground improvement schemes and retaining walls
• Carry out design and contribute on large, complex projects, both independently and in teams
• Produce design reports up to CAT 3 checking level
• Ensure designs comply with Eurocode/BS and project performance specs; liaise with site/operations teams
• Provide technical input to NCR remedial works as required
• Support R&D activities and contribute to design tool and spreadsheet improvements
• Mentor and assist other engineers through technical queries and learning materials
• Produce presentations and documentation to support learning and development across the business
• Troubleshoot site issues and help shape design policy for the organisation
• Keep up to date with current design standards and assist in enforcing design practices across the team
