Senior Associate Civil Engineer – Infrastructure

Overview

In this role you will lead technical delivery and team development for civil engineering projects across the region and nationally. You’ll shape strategy, nurture client relationships and drive growth for Stantec’s Ashford civil team. You’ll manage complex, multidisciplinary schemes from concept to delivery, ensuring high technical standards and commercial viability. It’s an opportunity to influence the direction of the practice, mentor engineers and deliver projects that shape communities. You will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment with a clear impact on regional and national infrastructure delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop engineering teams, including senior technical staff
• Oversee delivery of multidisciplinary civil projects from concept to completion
• Ensure high technical standards, client satisfaction and compliance with company requirements
• Manage quality, risk and commercial performance across projects
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor
• Win new work, support bids and pursuits, and contribute to sustainable growth
• Collaborate with leaders to shape regional growth strategies and drive best practices
• Mentor and develop future leaders and support succession planning

Key requirements

• Significant civil engineering consultancy experience with a track record of delivering complex projects
• Experience at Associate Director level or equivalent with team leadership and growth impact
• Strong technical knowledge across civil infrastructure and development projects
• Experience managing multidisciplinary projects from concept through delivery
• Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships
• Commercial awareness with experience supporting business development, bids and work winning
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent communication and autonomous decision-making with strategic influence
