Overview

In this Electrical Project Engineer role you will support the delivery of temporary site electrical services for a flagship HS2 infrastructure project at Old Oak Common. You will work with the Project Manager to coordinate installations, manage subcontractors, and monitor performance to ensure safe, efficient delivery. The role focuses on temporary electrical infrastructure on a large construction site, offering meaningful impact on project delivery and safety standards. You’ll operate across design, commercial and operations teams to identify risks and opportunities and shape site services at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate electrical installations, maintenance and testing for temporary site services
  • Manage subcontractors, labour, plant and materials to support delivery
  • Oversee temporary power distribution, site lighting, generators and related infrastructure
  • Review drawings, specifications and installation methodologies
  • Monitor progress, maintain project records and produce reports
  • Develop and review short-term programmes and work schedules
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards
  • Support inspection, testing, commissioning and handover activities
  • Collaborate with commercial, operational and design teams to identify risks and opportunities

Key requirements

  • Experience as Electrical Project Engineer, Electrical Site Engineer, Package Engineer or similar
  • Experience delivering electrical works on construction, infrastructure, utilities, rail or major projects
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems installation and project delivery
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and multiple stakeholders
  • Knowledge of health, safety, environmental and quality requirements
  • Strong organizational, planning and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project reporting systems
