Overview
As a Business Analyst at Verisk, you will translate business needs into functional requirements for AI-enabled workflows and Gen AI use cases. You will collaborate with UI/UX, development, QA, and stakeholders to design scalable, reusable use cases and guide productising efforts. You will mentor junior analysts and lead workshops, applying MoSCoW prioritisation to balance value and delivery. This role combines data insight with strong communication to shape impactful insurance tech solutions.

Responsibilities
- Design and specify agentic workflows, prompts, and decision logic for AI-driven automation and Gen AI use cases
- Write and communicate specifications, clarifying requirements with examples
- Apply MoSCoW prioritisation to evaluate requests and propose productised solutions
- Collaborate with UI/UX, developers, QA and stakeholders
- Lead design/workshops with clients and internal teams with limited supervision
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and reusable use cases
- Produce user stories and requirements documentation for development
- Support QA, UAT, and client training; iterate on requirements based on feedback
- Mentor and provide feedback to junior analysts
- Own requirements and drive continuous improvement of AI-enabled outcomes
- Provide estimates to Lead Analyst/Project Managers
- Coordinate with Lead Analyst/PM on escalations and problem resolution
- Work with stakeholders to gather, analyse and document business requirements
- Ensure close collaboration with product and development teams for implementation
Key requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the insurance industry
- Insurance experience with London Market preferred
- Strong technical skills in data analysis, JSON, and APIs
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience in Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Experience gathering, managing and documenting requirements and developing use cases
- Understanding of Project Life Cycle and Agile principles
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Mentoring analysts is desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of AI-related requirements and Gen AI use cases
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable, reusable solutions
- Data literacy to analyse and validate AI outputs
- Prompt engineering familiarity to optimise Gen AI performance
