Overview

As Global Payroll Operations Specialist for France, you lead end-to-end payroll operations for complex French accounts in a high-growth environment, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and scalability. You manage strategic client portfolios and high-level escalations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize systems and automate processes. You contribute to the rollout of a managed payroll offering and help drive operational excellence. This role offers exposure to product strategy and scalable payroll delivery within a fast-growing company.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll operations for complex, high-risk French accounts (DSN, filings, social contributions, tax payments)
• Supervise compliance and analyze anomalies; handle high-level DSN/tax escalations
• Interact with French authorities (URSSAF, DGFIP) to resolve disputes in sensitive payroll situations
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Leadership to optimize payroll systems and drive automation
• Support rollout of a managed payroll offering
• Contribute to process standardization and automation initiatives
• Handle customer tickets and ensure timely resolution
• Create team playbooks, documentation, and operational standards

Key requirements

• 3–5+ years in French payroll operations
• Strong expertise in DSN, social contributions, and tax filings
• Experience handling complex escalations and sensitive payroll disputes
• Client-facing payroll experience (payroll provider, accounting firm, or SaaS)
• Ability to manage high volumes with accuracy and efficiency
• Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in payroll systems and Excel/Google Sheets
• Excellent written and verbal communication in French and English
